Garland Middendorf, Member

With nearly 35 years experience in the bulk liquid storage and handling business, Mr. Garland Middendorf has been instrumental in every stage of the growth and ongoing success of the affiliated family terminaling businesses.  Mr. Middendorf serves as the President of Wolf Lake Terminals Inc., and Tanco Terminals, Inc.  As one of the original investors and developers of the Wolf Lake Industrial Complex, Mr. Middendorf supervises the overall activities of the affiliated group of companies, including those associated with the acquisition of new facilities, financing, operations, business development and strategic planning.

Garland Middendorf received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Missouri.  Mr. Middendorf began his career as an accountant with a regional public accounting firm.  Earlier in his career, Mr. Middendorf assisted as an auctioneer with his father’s real estate and auction business.  Mr. Middendorf was a founding member in 1967 of Long and Company (later Long Middendorf Corp.).  He is a former 14 year board member and former Chairman of the Independent Liquid Terminals Association (“ILTA”), a trade association dedicated to serving the bulk liquid terminaling industry. As the ILTA Chairman, Mr. Middendorf not only oversaw the financial well-being of the trade association, but also provided strategic leadership and direction to the association.  His other business interests include the ownership and development of agricultural, retail, office, and commercial properties.

Chad Middendorf, Member

As General Counsel of the families affiliated companies, Mr. Chad Middendorf supervises the legal and financing activities of the company, including those associated with site acquisitions, financing and lease negotiations.  As an experienced attorney, Mr. Middendorf is involved in real estate and lending matters, and in international transactions in parts of the Caribbean and South America.  Additionally, Mr. Middendorf currently serves as Managing Director of Greenrock Capital Holdings.  Formerly, Mr. Middendorf was General Counsel for the highly successful Chicago real estate development company - Magellan Development Group LLC.

Mr. Middendorf holds a B.A. in Latin American history from Tulane University, and a J.D. degree from the University of Missouri's Columbia School of Law. He is admitted to the bars of Illinois, Missouri, and Florida.

Mr. Middendorf has served as Associate General Counsel for BankFinancial (NASDAQ:  BFIN), where he provided counsel in the acquisition and sale of mortgage loans, the formation and development of a securities and insurance brokerage subsidiary, and the negotiation and preparation of commercial loan participations.  He has also served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Cole County, Missouri.

Mr. Middendorf is fluent in Spanish, a skill gained while participating in an internship with the Republic of Chile's Foreign Investment Committee and while living, and playing polo, in Argentina and Bolivia

Kip Middendorf, Member

Mr. Kip Middendorf serves as Sales Manager for the affiliated companies and is responsible for marketing the services and resources of the various companies.  Mr. Middendorf oversees all aspects of tenant and customer relations.  Mr. Middendorf is a licensed real estate agent, and is responsible for identifying and evaluating industrial and commercial development opportunities at various sites in the Midwest.

Mr. Middendorf's other business interests include Durango Energy Company, a natural gas venture.  As president of Durango Energy, Mr. Middendorf acquired an interest in natural gas production wells located in West Virginia.  Mr. Middendorf managed all aspects of the development, construction, contract negotiation and equipment procurement for the construction of a natural gas pipeline.

Mr. Middendorf previously served as Business Manager for a small chemical manufacturing concern, where he performed a variety of management functions.  Mr. Middendorf holds a B.A. in English from Fort Lewis College, Durango, Colorado.

Mr. Middendorf gained industrial transportation and material handling experience while working as Export Operations Representative for Elco Freight International, an international freight forwarder.  Mr. Middendorf managed traffic coordination for multiple customers, prepared all relevant documents, and managed monthly and quarterly summary reports for both U.S. Customs regulations and ELCO’s company requirements.

Mr. Middendorf currently serves as the Health Safety and Environment committee chair and sits on the Long Range Planning Committee for the Petroleum Packaging Committee (PPC) an industry association dedicated to serving the petroleum packaging, equipment, and services industry.  As committee chair and member, Mr. Middendorf’s responsibilities include establishing important topics for committee speakers and to advise on the financial well being of the association.

Thorfin Enterprises, LLC (John Fox), Member

Thorfinn Enterprises, LLC is a personal asset holding company for John Fox’s family. Mr. Fox has more than 20 years of experience building businesses, having founded five different companies of which two have been in the renewable energy industry. In 2001, Mr. Fox started Homeland Energy Resources Development, Inc. and then subsequently its biodiesel division in 2006, which was merged into Innovation Fuels in 2007. He led Innovation Fuels to a leadership position in the biodiesel refining industry and to more than $15 million in annual sales with 50 employees.

Previously, Mr. Fox has experience in investment banking at iQ Venture Partners; product development at GeoVideo, a Lucent Technologies company; marketing at Wheat First Butcher Singer (now Wachovia Securities); and government relations after working for the White House and a member of the US House of Representatives. Since 1991, Mr. Fox has served as General Partner at Renard Properties, a family-owned real-estate development and management company with properties in the Mid-Atlantic region. He earned his BA from Syracuse University and MBA from Columbia Business School, and he is currently a member of The American Council on Renewable Energy, National Biodiesel Board, and Syracuse University L.C. Smith College of Engineering Advisory Board.

Robert Stensberg – QUALITY CONTROL + LOGISTICS 

Rob Stensberg manages Quality Control + Logistics operations within Fusion Renewables among many other responsibilities.  Since becoming a part of the Fusion team in January 2010, Mr. Stensberg’s biodiesel industry experience has grown from managing Fusion Renewables’ Milwaukee office administration and operations to overseeing the development of several projects including but not limited to:  the launching of Cream City Grecycling (July 2011), spearheading Fusion Renewables BQ-9000 certification and managing BQ-9000 standards applying to biodiesel product.  He currently coordinates all rail and trucking logistics related to contract fulfillment and inventory.  He is also involved with managing RINs and is developing and maintaining Fusion’s internal RIN Integrity program.

Mr. Stensberg holds a B.S.A.S. – Architectural Studies from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
